Last year we had an unbelievable two days
in Sweden with all the precious classic jets they fly there. The big 100th
anniversary airshow is only in 2026, but we simply could not wait to hop
over from Denmark to Sweden and catch some of those beauties again. All
of that aircraft definitely have an ‘end date’ that is coming
closer to us with every season. |

| Unfortunately we learned on the morning of the
flying that our big wish – seeing the two Viggens fly together –
would not be possible, as the bare metal Viggen was unable to fly. But the
day was still so soooo good!! Our first join up was the Sk16 ( the classic
T-6 ) in olive green colors and new for all the photographers. With perfect
weather the backdrop is Sweden only add to the beauty of each aircraft.
Next was the Sk60, their classic jet trainer, it was the first time since
2018 we got to see the bare metal version. The Sk60 sticked with the Skyvan
until the next jet arrived, the sole flying Tunnan in the world! And that
ment of course time for some special 2-ship photos. |

| As always the Tunnan gave us an amazing performance
and in turn the jet waited for the impressive Lansen to arrive so we had
another chance of 2-ship photos we could only make in Sweden. The first
impression of the Lansen is always… ”now that is really a BIG
jet!” The pilot gave us every pose we wanted, our famous ‘knife
edge’ included. We also tried the new maneuver ‘lead change,
Skyvan as wingman’ where the photoship formats on the subject aircraft.
It really does look like we were the wingman in the formation. |

| The second flight brought us the Tunnan again,
just to give us a chance to have 2-ship photos with us absolute star of
the show, the ‘splinter’ two-seat Viggen. What an unbelievable
machine that is, and a shape that is truly one out of a thousand. The Viggen
kept the Skyvan company for a long time, so everyone onboard had plenty
of opportunities to picture the jet from all photo angles we had to offer.
With that sweet view in mind it was time to make plans for Sweden 2026,
it could be the last time to see all of those vintage jets fly, and we just
can’t get enough of them. |
