When aviation photographers from around the
world travel to Greece to fly with us onboard the Skyvan photoship, they
have that 1 big wish… to see an F-4 Phantom flying in real life!
The Hellenic Air Force is one of the last to still operate the iconic
‘unicorn’ jet, with 338 Sqn based at Andravida. With the superb
relation we enjoy with the Hellenic HQ for many years, and with the help
of our friends in the Athens Flying Week team, we requested for this year
the opportunity to add an extra photoflying day, dedicated to the F-4.
Needless to say that the interest in this ‘new’ project was
overwhelming, and when the approval was granted, it was time for that
exciting countdown. As an extra – and to raise the bar of expectations
even higher – we knew that we would get the fantastic opportunity
to fly our first sunset photomission! Of course everything needs to be
precisely timed AND there needs to be a proper sunset. Not too many clouds,
no overcast, no rain… |
