| Hello, my name is Tom Houquet, and on this page I tell something
about myself and show you some of my best aviation photographs taken throughout
the years. Since my childhood I have been fascinated by aviation. As I lived
close to Koksijde airbase, me, my brother and some other friends regularly
went looking over the fence when something special was flying. The Koksijde
International Airshows were the highlights of the year as it was also the
start of the summer holidays. |

 |
| In 1998, we started photographing with an analog SLR camera
to capture the beauty of aviation. National and international airshows were
visited throughout the years, as well as many base visits like the TLP exercises
in Florennes. In 2001 I made my first website, Spotting Group Koksijde,
to bring the aviation enthusiasts of Koksijde airbase together. |

| As I wanted to combine work with my hobby I decided to study
Aeronautical Engineering from which I graduated in 2006. Now I work as aircraft
mechanic at the Belgian Federal Police Air Support Unit in Melsbroek, Brussels
operating a fleet of MD900/MD902 Explorer, MD520N helicopters and Cessna
182. |

 |
| Since 2005 the transformation was made to digital SLR cameras,
which provided many new perspectives often impossible with analog cameras.
We visited as much aviation events as we could, from the UK, Belgium, France,
the Netherlands, up to Hungaria. We also tried to make some aviation holidays,
for instance to the aviation photography paradise Switserland, Jaguar town
Coltishall or Phantom heaven Hopsten/Wittmund. |

| During the years I came in contact with Eric Coeckelberghs,
and in 2009 he invited me to be part of his photocrew, which I kindly accepted,
the Aviation Photocrew was born. The main goal of the photocrew was to make
stunning photoreports, only possible by teamwork, to achieve the very best
results. During the preceding years, we met many great people and we were
very lucky to be able to make so many great aviation images, as can be seen
in the photoreports on this website. |

 |
| In 2010 we organized our first edition of the Air-to-Air Academy
which gives other enthusiastic Aviation Photographers the chance to experience
the excitement of Air-to-Air photography. The first edition was a huge success,
and so the following year we continued growing, and meeting many new friends
from all over the world. |
 |
|
Over the years we have had the honor to meet
many great people and perform over hundred Air-to-Air photoshoots, ranging
from the vintage Vickers Vimy to the latest fighter Jet and everything
in between. In 2010 I also joined the Bronco Demo Team, lead by Tony De
Bruyn, who operates the OV-10B Bronco and participates Airshows around
Europe. I’m also responsible for the websites of the Aviation PhotoCrew,
so I hope you enjoy flying through the webpages.
